Start With Your Sketchbook — Share Your Work, Share Your World
ArtistEarth is growing, and we’re looking for artists who want to help shape a global guide to sketching the world. The first step is simple: create a free gallery on Sketchbooks.org and upload your work. That alone makes you part of the creative ecosystem. Many artists stop right there — organizing their galleries into folders for places, destinations, or regions, and letting their travel sketches speak for themselves.

But if you’d like to take a more active role in shaping the stories on ArtistEarth.com, you can go one step further and request an Editor Account. Editors help us build a living archive of travel‑inspired creativity, using their own sketches and experiences to guide other artists around the world.
You don’t need to be a professional writer. You don’t need to travel constantly. You simply need curiosity, creativity, and a desire to help other artists explore the world through drawing. ArtistEarth provides custom tools that help you transform your notes, sketches, and impressions into polished editorial features.
Two Ways to Contribute
Traveling Artists — Share Your Sketching Journeys
If you travel — whether across continents or across your own city — your sketchbook becomes a record of places, atmospheres, and unexpected moments. As a traveling contributor, you can help other artists discover:
- Great places to sketch in the cities you visit
- Museums, cafés, parks, and hidden corners that spark creativity
- What it feels like to draw on location — the rhythm, the surprises, the challenges
- Personal observations, reflections, and visual notes from the road
If you can sketch and describe what you saw, we can help you turn it into something beautiful.
No writing experience needed — our tools keep the focus on your art.
Do you finish sketches on-site or back at your accommodation?
Local Artists — Share Insight About Your Region
If you’re rooted in one place, your perspective is just as valuable. You know the textures, rhythms, and stories of your region better than any visitor. As a local contributor, you can offer:
- A resident’s view of your city or neighborhood
- Sketching spots only locals know
- Cultural details and visual motifs travelers might miss
- Seasonal changes, festivals, architecture, and everyday scenes worth drawing
- Sketches that reveal what makes your area unique
You become the “local guide” for artists visiting your part of the world.
Again — no writing experience required.
